CFP ADNOC, Refinery Ruwais – Abu Dhabi. (Oct 2020 – Ongoing). The Crude Flexibility Project (CFP) in Ruwais includes the upgradation of the current units at the Ruwais refinery-west complex situated in the most distant west of Abu Dhabi. Work includes modifying existing units in order to process 420,000 barrels a day (b/d) of offshore crude ADNOC invests 3.5B to upgrade refining capabilities and maximize Value for Abu Dhabi and the UAE In 2018, ADNOC announced plans to diversify the feedstocks it processes. The US$ 3.5 BN (AED 12.8 BN) CFP upgrade initiative is a core driver of ADNOC Downstream’s 2030 smart growth strategy. The project will increase the value ADNOC derives from every barrel of oil, both by boosting refining margins and by leaving more high-value Murban crude available for export. Major structural elements, notably new fractionators, atmospheric residue desulfurizer reactors, Reformers more than 20 compressors as relevant equipment also more than 2 Million ID involved in the construction face.

Position: Senior Project Controls (IPMT / PMC).

GT5 Project, MAA Refinery Fahahell – KUWAIT. (Mar 2017 – Dec 2019). KPNPC Kuwait, Execution of the 5th Gas Train (GT5) and facilities update at Mina al-Ahmadi Refinery, it s EPC lump sum turnkey aprox (US$ 1,400 million), with 48 months of schedule. KNPC is fully controlled by the Government owned KNPC.

Position: Senior Project Controls.

Gasco, Package 3 – ABU DHABI. (Feb 2016 - Dec 2016). UAE. GASCO is a joint venture with the participation of ADNOC, Shell and Total. This project is part of the ADNOC program to produce 400 MMSCFD (million cubic feet), the contract has an approximate value of (US$ 700 million) with 40 months of schedule. It has been awarded on a lump sum turnkey (EPC). Position: Senior Project Controls.

North West - CANADA / Red Water Partnership in Edmonton. (Feb 2015 - Dec 2015). EPC Lump Sum Turn Key (Downstream) project which includes Engineering – Procurement – Construction/Commissioning for the Unit 50. Investment of around (€ 385 million). Position: Project Controls Coordinator.

Project Package 1 – ABU DHABI – Gas Gathering System (Upstream). (May 2012 - Nov 2014).

(EPC LSTK)/ Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates / Al Hosn Gas (Joint Venture ADCO & Occidental), Investment of (US$ 498 million) approximately.

Project Repsol Catagena - Spain Refinery C-10 Expansion. (Mar 2007 - Jun 2009).

(EPC LSTK)/ C10 – Cartagena Spain Expansion of the Repsol Cartagena Refinery. 110,000 bpd, Fluor scope consists of program management support for the entire project, FEL, FEED and EPCM for revamps, utilities, offsites and ancillary units. (US$ 4,5 billion). Position: Project Controls Lead (PMC).


Project Mariscal Sucre Offshore Venezuela. (Nov 2005 - Feb 2007). Negotiation offshore (Delta Oriental Caribbean) Global Investment (23 billion US$). Initial study for project with Mitsubishi, Statoil & Chevron. Drilling field, platform of services, Gas pipeline, modules of dehydration. Investment US$ 3000 MM in 5 years. Position: Advisor Project Controls Department (PMT). Project Orimulsión - Sinovensa (PDVSA) Vzla - China. (May 2003 - Nov 2005). Negotiation (CNODC / PETROCHINA FUEL and PDVSA), (US$ 1 billion). Drilling wells, Construction of “PAD S”, Production facilities, Gathering stations, Dehydration - Desalination, Treatment and injection of production water, Compression and Handling of gas, 220 Km pipeline, Field facilities, New tanks of 500 MMbls and Revamping tanks. Position: Advisor Project Controls Department (PMT). Project VEHOP Extra Heavy Oil Project" / Phase III (Upstream) – Vzla / USA. (Feb 2000 - Jul 2001). Negotiation - (Strategic Associations PDVSA / Conoco Phillips) (4,5 billion US$). Scope: Venezuelan corporation (50.1% COP participation), Production, transport and transformation of Extra Heavy Crude Oil (EHCO) into synthetic crude oil. 35 year operating life (700 wells), Gross reserves of 1.6 Billion Bbls, EHCO production of 120,000 BPD (plateau). Position: Project Controls Eng (PMT).


As PMC / PMT & Main Subcontractor:

Study and understanding off relevant documents and conditions pertaining to the project.

Defining clearly primary job objectives at project and departmental management levels by highlighting schedule and cost requirements.
