Responsibilities:

Minor Bridges – Construction of Box Culverts – Single, Twin, Multiple boxes as per GAD & RDSO with protection works. Preparation of Completion drawings.

Major bridges - Execution of piling work, pile cap, abutment, pier, launching of precast slabs, open foundations and trestle beam (upto substructure).

Earthwork – Recording of OGL’S as per ground profile, Formation work includes two layer system of prepared subgrade and Blanket over embankment fill as per GE-14 & GE-1

Buildings - Construction of Residential Buildings (Staff Quarters) & Service Buildings (Station Building, End goomty) in yards and in mid-section as per layout.

Tests on Coarse &Fine aggregates (IS:2386) - Sieve Analysis, Specific Gravity, Water Absorption, Bulk Density, Aggregate impact Value, Abrasion Value, Elongation & flakiness. Bulkage of Sand, Silt Content, Fineness Modulus.

Tests on Cement (IS:4031) - Fineness, Standard consistency, Setting time, Soundness, Specific gravity, float Test, Compressive strength of Cement (Mortar Cubes),

Tests on Concrete (IS:516,1199) - Workability (Slump Test), Compaction factor, Tensile test, water-cement ratio, compressive Strength test,

NDT Tests on Concrete (IS:13311) - Rebound Hammer test (RH), Core Extraction, Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test (UPV),

Verify conformance and productivity of quality engineering system through supplier audits and surveys. Review all product quality aspects like planning, manufacturing methods and process specifications.

Cary out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
