Responsibilities

Develop and manage departmental procedures to implement the quality control program.

Develop and maintain QC manual and Control log.

Prepare and attend ASME joint reviews for code stamp renewals.

Develop PQRs, WPSs and WPQs.

Oversee all inspection personnel.

Review project specifications and code requirements. Develop project QC Plan, ITP and all Welding procedures and Qualifications.

Weld mapping.

Develop NCR’s for review and corrective actions processing and retention.

Audit NCR’s for trends to show inefficiencies to reduce production losses and a savings of 10-30%.

Develop final project data book in PDF for electronic turnover to client.

Work with welders to bring their skills to a higher level of performance in resulting in a lower failure rate increasing production.

Perform weld inspection.

Read Blueprints (drawings).

Perform MT, PT ASNT Level II. Train and Test new candidates for Qualification Level II.

Develop written NDE Procedures.

Develop NDE report forms.

Develop in house welder training program from beginners through advanced in SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, GMAW and GMAW-P on plate and pipe in unlimited thickness and diameter.

Attend all production, quality, pre and post project manager meeting shop and field. Certifications
