PROFILE SUMMARY

Dr. S. P. Khare received his Master of Science degree (Mathematics) with a first division in 1972 from University of Allahabad. He joined research (D.Phil.) in Number Theory under able supervision of Professor Hansraj Gupta in 1973, Ex-Director, Centre for Advanced Study in Mathematics, Punjab University Chandigarh, Fellow of Indian National Science Academy (FNA) and Royal Society of London. After publishing a research paper in collaboration with Professor Paul Erdös (of Budapest, Hungary) and Professor Gupta, Dr. Khare got national and international recognition, and was invited by the American

Mathematical Society to become its Member and Reviewer. Professor George E. Andrews, of Pennsylvania State University (USA) evaluated his thesis and recommended him for award of D. Phil. degree from University of Allahabad in 1987. He published several research papers in various journals of national and international repute.

He computed three manuscripts, viz. On the prime factorization of nCk, 1 k 25, 1 n 550, values of (n) and ø (n). All tremendous computations were done manually without an access to a computer. These works are not yet published. On the recommendation of the Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, he joined as a Group A officer in the Joint Cipher Bureau, Ministry of Defence and retired as the Director from there only in 2012. He did researches in codes and ciphers and organized internal courses for government agencies there. He worked on implementation of several secure communication projects in Government of India. He was awarded by Indian Army (Core of Signals) on implementation of some prestigious projects. Even being in government sector, he had been interacting with academic institutions in the country and always remained in touch with distinguished mathematicians and scientists. He used to deliver lectures and acted as a Ph. D. thesis examiner of several Indian Universities and IITs. He attended several conferences in mathematics and cryptology and presided over some sessions therein. His works have been quoted by several mathematicians of international repute.

Dr. Khare is a life member of Indian Mathematical Society and Allahabad Mathematical Society. He is also an expert advisor of Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi.

Dr. Khare - a Professor in Graphic Era University, Dehradun (U.K.) since 19th September, 2015 to 5th February 2018. He had been member of academic council, Board of Studies and In Charge of the Anti Ragging Committee in GEU.

Presently working on divisibility of integers by prime and its power, application to RSA challenged integers - work is under progress

Development of a Cryptographic System work is under progress.

A direct proof of divisibility of 2p-1 – 1 by p2 for p = 1093 and 3511 is also under progress.

A problem of Graham - work is under progress

Handled top level management and Administrative and finance experience of twelve years as a Head of Establishment in Government of India, Ministry of Defence. Remained Member Secretary of Several Technical Committees in Government of India.

Presently writing a book on Number theory for BA/B.Sc./ B.Tech/ M. Tech(Computer Science Student) for Indian Universities student.
