Coin Operated Vending Machine

A vending machine is essentially an automated shop. Products are loaded into a machine and are available to purchase, generally 24/7.

Each item in a vending machine has its own selection number or corresponding button. Customers make their payment, choose the corresponding its number or button and then wait for their chosen product to be dispensed.

Load Cell

A Load Cell is a force transducer. It converts a force such as tension, compression, pressure, or torque into an electrical signal that can be measured and standarized.

It is made of a metal body to which foil strain gauges are bonded. When force is applied, them metal body acts as a

"spring" and is slightly deformed, and unless it is overloaded, it returns to its original shape. As the flexure deforms, the strain gage also changes its shape and consequently its electrical resistance, which creates differential voltage variation through Wheatstone Bridge Circuit.
