Project Title: Effect of tyrosine ammonia lyase from Murraya koenigii for the treatment of

Tyrosinemia.

Mentor : Dr. Uma maheshwari PhD.

Duration : 6 months

Description : Tyrosinemia is a autosomal recessive disorder characterized by an elevation of an amino acid tyrosine in the blood. It is caused by accumulation of tyrosine and its by product in various organs. If untreated it cause damage in tyrosine ammonia transferase gene responsible for the production of tyrosine ammonia transferase . I extracted tyrosine ammonia lyase . I did In vitro enzyme assay to measure enzyme activity. I did Protein and purified using MnSo4 . I proved higher tyrosine ammonia lyase enzyme activity from Murraya koenigii [ Curry leaves].
