Kiewit Constructors, Fort McMurray, Alberta, May 2019- December 2019

E&I quality inspector (Imperial Oil, Kearl Lake)

Prepare and conduct quality walkdowns and deal with the client issues upon completion. This often resulted in liaison with engineering, construction, and completions to resolve issues and sign off check sheet. Acted as quality department representative at all completions meetings with the client and construction, reporting back to the quality manager.

Electrical inspection of all devices up to 5Kv transformers and switch gear

Preparation and execution of walkdown packages, working with completions to ensure schedule performance.

Participation in daily completions planning meetings.

Conduct NFI inspections and sign off.

Ensure punches from walk downs are completed in a timely manner.

OTS (Offshore Technical Services), Edson, Alberta December 2018 - May 2019

C&SU Lock out Coordinator (TransCanada pipelines)

Hired to develop and execute the lock out, tag out (LOTO) system for the pre commissioning, commissioning and start up of a new 34,000 HP GE jet turbine compressor on a 48-inch natural gas pipeline.

Developed and maintained all appropriate logs to ensure HSE, site and government compliance during lock out installation.

Safety and mentoring of all electrical and mechanical trades in the use of proper lock out procedures.

Assisted both electrical and instrumentation teams with commissioning as required.

CONOCO PHILLIPS, Fort McMurray, Alberta 2014 - 2016

C&SU Lead Electrical Commissioning Coordinator (Surmont 2, SAGD)

Coming into the project well into construction I was able to identify scheduling deficiencies, conflicts, and manpower issues responsible for putting the remote field portion of the project four months behind schedule. By assuming responsibility for the overall coordination of all subcontractors, internal commissioning teams and corporate resources I was able to bring this section of the project back on schedule and ready for operation. (RFO)

Supervised project commissioning contractors during the pre-commissioning, commissioning, energization (Solar to 5kv) and start up of 13 extremely remote production water wells, pipeline risers and EHT protection.

Participated in, scheduled and chaired meetings for check sheet review, PSSR development and execution, inspection test plans (ITP), construction execution plans, punch lists and drawing scope review.

Appointed as single point of contact for management among vendor representatives, contractors, and field staff.

Resolved a serious access issue by introducing a plan to speed up and maintain reliable remote access through spring break-up enabling the project to meet deadline.

Mentored a seamless work environment by coordinating and maintaining open lines of communication across all trades, safety, management. Conducting safety meeting across all trades on a rotating basis.

Verify control and power distribution for water, wastewater and fire suppression systems.

Conducted pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems, motors, and heat trace controllers.

MMR CANADA, Fort McMurray & Alberta 2012 - 2013

Electrical Commissioning Technician (Kearl Oil Sands mine)

As a member of the (EHT) electrical heat trace team I participated in the installation of mineral insulated and self-regulating EHT to various piping systems plant wide. This required the interpretation of isometric drawings and specific piping specifications. Subsequently promoted to walkdown and inspection ensuring spec. compliance then to the LOTO authority team.

Working with the Integrated Start-up and Completions (ISCT) and Isolation Authority (LOTO) teams to ensure safe and timely compliance and commissioning.

Engaged in the plant-wide walk down of electrical, instrumentation and EHT sub-system packages.

Played pivotal role for Imperial Oils’ turnover and acceptance team helping to identify roadblocks to RFO.
