I had scheduled rotations in the accident and emergency unit, neonatal and adult intensive care units, and outpatient specialty clinics.
CLINICAL SKILLS
Diagnostic and Management: chest pain, shock, common arrhythmias, asthma, mental health disorders, psychiatric emergencies, anaemia, CVD, cardiac arrest, overdose, haematemesis and melaena, abdominal pain, head injuries, spinal injuries, wound management, paediatric respiratory disorders, eye injuries, chemical exposure, myocardial infarction, The unconscious patient, respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, jaundice, epilepsy/fits, drowning/near drowning, anaphylaxis, snake and spider bite, major trauma, burns, common fractures, and the febrile child.
Procedural: Wound suturing, ear syringing, foreign body removal, venepuncture, intravenous fluid administration, blood transfusion, bladder catheterization, intubations, debridement, incision & drainage, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Surgical Skills: Appendectomy, Caesarean Section
