I would like to take the time to tell you a little more about myself. I relocated to Connecticut after graduating from Penn State. I acquired my CPA license and gained managerial experience. I moved back to the Pittsburgh area where my family roots are in 2002. My son has special needs, and I needed a flexible job. I decided to go back to school to become a nurse. I worked as a nurse until December 2010. I had an opportunity at a more flexible Accounting/Business Manager job at Little Sisters of the Poor. In 2016 I moved on to another nonprofit, Community Life, a PACE Insurance company. It was a subsidiary of UPMC. I gained more Medicaid & Medicare experience. There was a restructuring, and I moved on to Apogee IT Services. Here I gained more experience on both domestic and international accounting and processes. I became an empty nester and wanted to relocate back to State College. I acquired a new position as Controller of Maxwell Companies which gave me the opportunity to be involved with multiple companies - a construction company, a truck build and mechanic shop, a transport company for large piece of equipment, and a property management company. I relocated to Harrisburg to be closer to my son who moved into a group home in Mifflintown, Pa. I accepted a position as Manager of Financial Reporting at Keystone Human Services- a 220M company. I would like to broaden my duties including the opportunity to make accounting processes better thru maximizing software usage and management reports.

I have over 25 years of experience in accounting, which includes 6 years in public accounting in the Connecticut, New York, and Pennsylvania areas. My accounting experience in all the systems which includes the classification and recording of transactions through the financial statements and presentation, assists me in understanding the processes that need to be in place. One of the key points in my annual review with Pittsburgh Care Partnership was my skill at communication with the different departments in analyzing and improving processes with the necessary internal controls. This would be beneficial to you in a growing organization, where this is essential.

I have many years of managerial experience and have attended many seminars to become a better manager for my team. I have acquired an expertise in reorganizing accounting departments to operate more efficiently and accurately.. I have acquired experience in many software packages including Excel, ERP 100, Mas90, Point Click Care, Connectwise, Foundation and Quickbooks. I enjoy maximizing the efficiencies of software packages in the daily operations and developing managerial reports. As an example, I developed a program using Sage – ERP software to automatically post hundreds of Medicare payments to member accounts within minutes. This eliminated errors and freed up a week’s worth of time for the Accounts Receivable clerk
