All of my experience since graduating high school has been in Sterile Processing or as a Surgical Technician. I graduated from high school along with a 2 year Surgical Technologist Certificate. My strong area of specialties are General, Thoracic, Colon/Rectal, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedic and Vascular surgery. I will be a strength to your organization. Instrument Technician- Mt. Carmel St. Ann’s Hospital Westerville, OH February 2017 to August 2018

Ensuring surgeries are pulled for each case, having supplies at all times, and instrument sets turned around promptly. All duties related to cleaning and decontamination of general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment, endoscopes, and sterilization. Preparation and instrumentation package of instrumentation, including available tools, quality control testing and monitoring of sterilization equipment, maintaining records, and dispatch of surgical cases. Answering phones, stocking, and transporting data entry for all patients.

Instrument/Surgical Technician- Riverside Methodist Hospital January 2011 to December 2013

Responsible for the lead position on my shift, making sure physicians, nurses, and OR staff have everything they need for surgery. Making sure cases are running smoothly and instruments are being turned around in a timely fashion. I maintained records communicating with the OR's surgical cases. Surgical Technician- Ohio State University Medical(Transferred) from Lifeline of Ohio Columbus, OH February 2004 to 2006

Prepared and gathered supplies for surgical procedures. Pass instruments to the surgeon and residents, and medical students at the operating table. When needed, I functioned as a second assistant to the surgeon; I handled the room’s proper decontamination and turned it over for the next surgery. I maintained supplies and restocking for the floor and rooms of the OR.

Responsible for organ and kidney preservation, pumping kidneys and medicating all organs to be transplanted properly. Entering all data recorded from charts efficiently and in a timely manner keeping up on all charting and filing. Medicating organs and documenting all dosing amounts and times. When traveling with surgeons to perfuse, an organ must be accompanied at all times until placed in the body. I was responsible for being on 1st, 2nd or 3rd call while also maintaining weekly office hours of 8-5. Working with hospital staff, transplant surgeons and each family made the process well worth all the hard work.
