Description - The use of basalt fibre–reinforced polymers (BFRP) in construction applications is relatively new. They are estimated to retain about 72 and 80% of their strength after 100 years exposure to concrete and mortar environment, respectively. Description: - Plain unreinforced concrete possesses a very low tensile strength, limited ductility and little resistance to cracking. Internal micro cracks, leading to brittle failure of concrete In order to improve the inherent tensile strength of concrete there is a need of multidirectional and closely spaced reinforcement, which can be provided in the form of randomly distributed fibers. Steel fiber is one of the most commonly used fibers. This reinforcement provides tensile capacity and crack control to the concrete section prior to the establishment of visible macro cracks.

Description: - Necessity of resource is increasing due to continuous increase in world population and rapid industrialization. Natural resources are getting exhausted day by day. Therefore, usage of waste materials or by-products in highway constructions has substantial environmental and economic benefits. Glass powder is proposed as an alternative to traditional ordinary Portland cement fillers in hot asphalt mixtures. Where, the effect of using waste glass powder as mineral filler on Marshall Properties of hot asphalt concrete mixtures is investigated. SOFTWARE COMPETENCY:
