Please take note that although my CV is aimed at the marine industry, my knowledge and expertise of land based operations in management, maintenance management are my top preferences. . My career has stretched across many different industries and have amassed a great wealth of knowledge.

April 2018 to current

Fleet Engineer for a company called Sailways operating out of Alimos Marina South East of Athens Greece. Fleet consists of 25 sailing yachts between 45 and 60 foot.

Responsible for all maintenance on all yachts including all outboard motors for yacht tenders. Head up a small team of mechanics and maintenance professionals for duties from mechanical, electrical to plumbing, refrigeration, power generation to electronics.

Key Projects:

Winter dry docks catch up after 2017 season

Winter dry docks 2018. All yachts in fleet had full services to all components of the engines

Winter dry dock 2019. Service every single aspect of the fleets boats. Rebuilding 4 of the yachts engines for the 2020 season.

Total rewiring of 3 older yachts. All cabling AC and DC removed and new cables installed along with all new electrical outlets, lights, switches and main control panels.

Relocation of the company headquarters to new location and building a workshop in order for the company to branch out into a separate mechanical sector to start servicing the mechanical side of the yachting industry local to Southern Greece and many of the Islands.

Ensuring that every yacht is ready weekly for charter

W6 engine Rebuilds on a Dominator 68-foot motor yacht with 2 x MTU Mercedes Benz V12 1250HP engines, new through hull valves, sea chests and piping complete from hull to engine water intake systems.

Fleet of tenders ranging from 3 x 9m semi ridget boats with 2 x 250HP Mercury outboard motors each. 2 x 10m inboard 300HP Yanmar; 6 x Yamaha Jet skis.

CHIEF ENGINEER (Nov 2014 to January 2018)

Direct a wide spectrum of all activities and functions associated with all mechanical and electrical maintenance on the vessel. Observed daily checks on all aspects on the vessel operations and comprehensive weekly work reports. Delivered a broad-based support to the captain, while ensuring the seaworthiness of vessel and ready for performing operations.

Complete project management of all Dry Dock sessions from 2015-2017

Embedded an effective approach in restructuring the complete boats battery systems and led upgrading of all the battery charging systems.

oTotal gearbox rebuilds on both main engine ZF gearboxes.

oW5 service on both MTU 398 V12 main engines.

oBoth 150KVA Northern Lights generators serviced.

oPropeller shafts and propellers removed, new seals and balancing and refit.

oEntire chilled water loop on boat upgraded from 13mm pipe work to 25mm pipe work.

oAll sea chests redone All raw water valves serviced All windlass units rebuilt.

oBlack and grey water tanks refurbished.

oAnchor chains removed and galvanized and reinstalled.

oPlate thickness testing on entire hull

MLT Drives, MLT POWER

MLT Drives known as MLT POWER. This new division is the turnkey solutions company for MLT Drives and covered all the design, inception, installation and commissioning of all MLT Drives projects nationally and internationally.

MANAGING DIRECTOR (Jan 2013 to May 2014)

Monitored and develop the overall operations for new division of MLT Drives known as MLT Power. Regulated all project functions related to National and International installations.

Championed establishment and execution of systems for clients ranging from small industrial to large scale solar parks based on 10Kilowatt Peak - 10Megawatt Peak.
