Professional Summary

To Prospective Employer: I have extensive experience working independently as a family nurse practitioner predominantly with complicated adults diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions in busy family medicine clinics. My core qualities of dependability, flexibility, problem solving and initiative allow me to work independently with no physicians on site. In providing competent medical care, I assume ownership of managing a diverse population of patients. If any concerns, I contact the physician. While it is not always possible to fix everything, providing the patient with continuity of care with the goals of promoting health, individualized treatment plans, offering community resources is the cornerstone of family practice. It is my passion to be a family practice provider because that is where everything starts. Along the spectrum of diseases, one may need referrals to specialists, but it is the responsibility of the provider to follow up on all results and look at the big picture of the patient's overall physical and psychosocial issues to effectively manage their healthcare. Truly, I strive to make a difference in my corner of the world. If you are looking for someone who can problem solve and medically and ethically be accountable and work hard, that is me. If you want someone who believes in what they do and who cares about people that is me. Working in family practice many years ago as a medical assistant and getting to know the patients is the driving force that eventually steered me to this point in becoming a family nurse practitioner. My love of helping people and the undeniable passion for family practice, with all its craziness and unpredictability, even days of sheer exhaustion: it is the ultimate ride for me. I sincerely hope you will consider me for a position. I will be happy to meet with you. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you!
