Professional Experience in Fabrication, Installation, Testing, Repair and maintenance of Aboveground Storage Tanks, Pressure Vessels, Piping, and Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical/Instrumentation systems for Oil and Gas plants including (Refineries, Chemicals, Petro-chemicals, LNG, etc.).

Welding Inspector, with professional experience in WPS/PQR Procedure qualification, WPQR Welder qualifications, and welding visual inspections.

Hands-on experience in completing the ASME joint review Audit for company ASME/NB “U, S and R” stamps renewal for shop and field construction, repair and alternation of ASME Section I, and ASME Section VIII.

Good knowledge and experience in maintaining company QMS, which includes audit, review, revision and preparation of policies, quality inspection plans and procedures, to ensure compliance with scope of work, customer specifications, and applicable code and standard requirements.

Onsite QA/QC Inspector

Design and Build of New Construction of Aboveground Storage Tanks. Total of 16 Tanks (API 620, and API 650) Tanks. 12 nos. Carbon Steel and 4 nos. Stainless Steel tanks. Tanks diameters from 40'x32' up to 120’x48’, for Zachry Group (EPC Contractor), at LyondellBasell Petrochemical Facility - Channelview, Texas.

Person in charge for all QA/QC activities on site. Inspecting all activities performed on site. Prepare inspection and testing procedures, Inspection and test plan (ITP) for each tank.

Perform all QA/QC activities including but not limited to the following:

Preparation of (ITP’s, testing procedures, NCR’s, calibration documentations, RFI’s, field queries, project deviations, etc.), and follow-up with customers Quality Reps., and engineering to secure approval.

Coordinate with Customers QA’s representatives, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Visual inspection of all tank welding, foundation settlement survey, roundness, plumbness, peaking and banding, Vacuum boxing, pneumatic air test of reinforcement pads, etc.

Manage all activities related to the tank hydrostatic test, combination (water-pneumatic) test, and air testing of API 620, and API 650 Tanks.

Coordinate testing of new welder (WPQR) with weld testing lab.,

Review and acceptance of CMTRs for Plates, Pipes, supports, Filler metals, etc.,

Coordinate all required NDE (RT/MT/PT) with 3rd party, per project specifications and API/ASME/ASTM/AWS

codes requirements.

Follow-up, inspect, and coordinate with Subcontractors (Platform, Floating Roof, Painting, insulation, cathodic protection, etc.), to ensure compliance with project/code/standard/regulations requirements are meet,

Prepare project turnover package for each tank,

Any other responsibilities assigned by project management.

QA/QC Manager and Lead Inspector

Manage and prepare project QA/QC procedures and forms, and ITP’s.

Supporting site managers, and superintendents in all welding and site QA/QC requirements.

Perform inspections to shop fabrication, site installation, and ensure compliance with project specifications and code API 510, 570, 650, 653/ASME Section I, II, V, VIII, IX, B31.1, B31.3, B16.5 and NBIC requirements.

Perform materials inspection, in-process and final visual inspection of welds.

Attending meeting, walkdown, and inspections with customer quality representatives.

Prepare handover packages, including (signed work acceptance, WPS’s, Welders performance qualification, NDE reports, MTR’s, weld map, flange maps, As-Built drawing, etc.).

List of projects involved,

1-KMCO – Chemical Plant includes the following:

a-Tanks (T-559, T571, 572, and T-577). Work included, dismantle, fabrication new, install, and testing of new roof, shell and, annular and bottom plates.

b-White film Evaporator pressure vessel repair API 510 (Alternation, R-Stamped), replacing flat head, two (4”) Inconel pipes (fire tubes), and four (4”) CS exhaust pipes, Perform NDE (PT to preparation and final weld), and final hydro test.

2-Arkema – Beaumont (Molten Sulfur Tank D-26), API 650/653 Tank inside cleaning and remove heavy layer of sulfur, concrete floor and 2 layers insulation replacement, heater pipes disassembly, remove and reweld, bake out 12”-18” shell and PWHT all new, and performed NDE (RT/PT), vacuum box testing, diesel testing, and final 24 hrs. leak test. All work accordance with

3-Arkema – Houston (Sulfur Tank T-8078), API 650/653, Tank inside cleaning and remove heavy layer of sulfur, concrete floor and 2 layers insulation replacement, heater pipes disassembly, remove and reweld, bake out 12”-18” shell and PWHT all new, and performed NDE (RT/PT), vacuum box testing, diesel testing, and final 24 hrs. leak test.

4-Phillips 66 - Freeport (Tank 4007), Roof plate repairs and annular and bottom plates replacement (remove and install new). Testing (Vacuum box test, diesel test corner welds, PT, and RT for door sheet).

5-Linde Gas La Porte – Chemical Plant. Pipline package, NDE (PT/RT – 100%) per plant specifications, and piping fabrication (Modification of HP N2 Sale to APCI Pipeline), Work included above and underground 2”, 6”, and 10” nitrogen pipline modification and partial replacement, and final pressure testing.

6-FPC (Formosa Plastic Corporation Plant, Port Lavaca, TX). Remove and install new Stripping Tank (MV 327C @ SPVC S2), with all related steel structure supports and attachment piping spools and (2 Nos. pumps).

7-TPC Group – Chemical Plant, maintenance contract for small capital projects.

Zachry Group Oct. 2017 – May 2018

Sr. QA/QC Inspector (FLNG Plant, Freeport, TX)

Processes validation including (heat treatment, and high-pressure cleaning) of piping spools to ensure processes are in accordance with Zachry latest approved method statement and customer requirements.

Witness, review, and approve hydro testing of the piping system.
