Kintetsu World Express SA is a Japanese Company with its core focus being freight forwarding and customs clearing. As part of the Company’s Portfolio, is the Supply Chain Management Division with their 3PL and 4PL focus on the Commercial Aviation industry.

The Supply Chain Division prides itself in a lean forecasting art of 6 weeks in advance ensuring that there’s never more than 2 weeks buffer stock at any client’s holding facility.

Job Highlights:

Conduct DRP (distribution resource planning) for stock to be replenished to all outstations placed under my responsibility.

Conduct MRP (material requirements planning) when required with forecasting and calculating the stock levels in the warehouse.

Accurate management of stock levels of the outstations responsible for.

Liaising with outstations on stock count reporting, stock count queries, over stock situations, stock shortages, analysis of consumption figures and identifying over consumption’s as well as gains at outstations.

Identify areas where there are possible problems with stocks to be delivered from suppliers and escalate these to management as and when they occur.

Liaise with the air, ocean and road freight exports departments in arranging distribution for all consignments outbound to catering stations.

Arranging emergency re-supply orders to the outstation caterers to avoid a stock shortage situation.

Monitor SCP (Supply Chain Planning) stock levels and advise / identify possible problems within the system to Management for resolution.

Ensure that all suppliers, vendors and internal departments are dealt with in a courteous and proper manner.

Tracking consignments to all outstation-catering facilities under my responsibility, ensuring conformance to the dates specified in the relevant shipping schedules.

Generate Management reports and information from SCP forecasting tool and the Exceed warehouse management system.

Assist colleagues as and when required.

Ensure that all possible exposures are escalated in time to Management to ensure that the situations can be controlled and managed.

Generating invoices for outstations once stock has been picked.

Liaise with warehouse and track the order to ensure that deadlines are met and deliveries are on time.

Updating and the passing of consumption in the warehouse management system monitoring the stock levels on Exceed on behalf of the outstations.

Ensure that the SOP for my area is adhered to at all times.

Request Export / Import instructions from Airline Client on all shipments where required.

Attend operations and vendor meetings on behalf of KWE when required.

Participate in planning and innovation sessions within the organisation.

Ensure that all activities are done with risk in mind and that these will be done without exposure to KWE.
