The current project mainly focuses on converting paper documents into electronic documents thereby making the business process paperless. Cases arrive into the system in the paper-form or via Fax. They get converted to electronic form finally making it to the Content Management System (FileNet). The Custom web application keeps track of all the work items in different queues and allows indexing the fields by providing interface to the users of the system. The work to be processed on these cases will pass through a predefined business process (workflow) defined inside FileNet. This transformation makes handling of cases easier thereby reducing the time to process theses cases.
