I ran the front desk of an independent senior living community of over 100 residents who ranged from 60-100 years old. My responsibilities were many, and we're never the same from day to day. I answered all calls coming into the community, including inquiries about our community, helping family members, the residents themselves, and directing any other calls to correct departments, as well as assisting in Marketing. I scheduled the transportation for the residents, kept updated logs of resident information, emergencies, the dining sheets that kept track of who came to each meal and if they didn't, I called and checked on them. I was responsible to ensure safety to our residents, and a pleasant place for them to live. I was the "face of the community", the first person a guest would see, to greet, welcome, provide information to, etc. My job largely included dealing with whatever the residents needed. They came to me knowing I would follow through, and make sure they were helped with whatever their need may be, and that they were happy. I only left because it was time for me to come home to Southern California.
