Hyundai (CONTRACT), Newport Beach, California 1/2015 to 10/2016

Translated and migrated the information and VBA to be utilized by Oracle through the use of SQL.

Added new features to existing MS Excel files (e.g. added buttons with newly created VBA code)

●In TOAD, created and made improvements to Oracle-procedures through the use of SQL.

●Created Oracle procedures allowing the transformation of data-transfer to happen correctly.

●In VBA code, created ODBC connections to existing Oracle database to allow transfer of data from the MS Excel sheets.

●Improved the speed of slower running MS Excel files from hour or more to a couple of minutes by making alterations to the VBA code.

●Used VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and other complex functions in MS Excel

●In the programming I accomplished, I used the Agile-methodology; therefore, checking with the client as the case progressed.

Anamar Windows (CONTRACT), Montebello, California 5/2010 to 12/2014

Computer Consultant & Database Programmer

●Integrated Stored Procedures in SQL 2005/2012 to increase the transfer-speed of data to MS Access and enable MS Excel to access and change that same data in the future.

●Between the office-employees and the owner, I discussed the hardware requirements of the computers the company would need for the front office and the server utilizing the database [e.g. such as the speed of the CPU’s, how much memory, using cable connections vs wireless-LAN’s, and why firewalls were needed], and what type of database, the cost of the database, and the software could (and should) be used for future growth.

●Recommended and installed software (e.g. such as anti-viruses, security and backup software) to help keep the company running without any interruptions.

● Set up their server with the SQL 2005/2012 database, and the client’s computers with the ODBC-connections to enable MS Access to make changes to the database through its forms and the VBA code running behind the scenes.

●Added password security through MS SQL 2005/2012 to ensure only the employees and management could access the data.

●Linked MS Access 2003 to SQL 2005/2012 to accommodate for possibility they would need to move to the full-version of SQL in the future for the greater amounts of data.

●Through MS Access and MS SQL 2005/2012, I produced the required forms and reports for the front office (e.g. such as forms/reports for quotes and new orders of windows to be put in for their new clients), and forms for the warehouse (e.g. showing what windows had to be made and to check off each of the windows after being completed.)

●Programmed MS Access to interact with barcode-scanning software to create barcode-stickers for the windows, enabling them to scan and to record the date and time [down to the second], and what has been finished; thereafter, sending email to both the client and the company as soon as the order was completed.

●Working together with the client, I created the necessary math formulas to calculate the dimensions of the current and new windows produced in the warehouse.

●Much of the upgrades and improvements was done through SSMS [SQL Server Management Studio] – such as queries, tables, and stored procedures

●To ensure the client was satisfy with the result, I used the Agile-methodology.

United Vinyl (CONTRACT), Pico Rivera, California 9/2006 to 4/2010

Computer Consultant & Database Programmer

●Discussed the current network setup (clients and server) for the database and the future requirements of network to keep the data running quickly and constant throughout the LAN.

●After trouble-shooting the slowing and lost-connections in their wireless-network in the warehouse, I explained a wired-network would be safer and quicker.

●Added password security to ensure no unauthorized changes could be made by anyone outside the business.

●Explained to the owner why antivirus and security was needed for their network.

●Working together with network specialist, I setup the LAN-lines and network settings for the best network speed for their database.

●Transferred data, from a program utilizing MS Access as the backend, to SQL Express; and creating the forms and reports through MS Access using that as the front-end for current and future needs.

●Programmed MS Access to interact with barcode-scanning software to scan barcodes and record what has been finished and when [date and time].

●Migrated from MS Access to SQL Express, then later to MS SQL

●Used SSMS [SQL Server Management Studio], to add necessary queries, stored procedures, and tables.

K.I.S.M.I.F., Los Alamitos, California 2/1999 to 8/2006

●Through the utilization of ASP [HTML AND vb-scripting], I created web pages to show only what the US-branch should see and only the data the Mexico-branch should see.

●After asking what the client’s needs where, I created new database(s) and installed LAN’s for clients

●From the previous/new databases, I created new forms, reports, and the required Visual-Basic Programs under Access 97/2000 [aka VBA]

●Installing hard drives, memory, modems, Windows 98/ 2000 and Windows NT for clients’ computers

●Configured computers (e.g. adding more memory or changing motherboards and CPU’s), to make them run more efficiently

●Used Microsoft Studio in projects involving ASP, HTML, and vb/java scripting.
