Job Profile:

Managing a team of 20 operators and 30 workers on an average

To highlight main responsibilities, activities and function required to be carried out and performed by the team members in an appropriate manner as required

Responsible for continuous extrusion process, safe and efficient operation of the press

Follow up with Extrusion operators for maximum productivity as planned and required for their duties and ensure that the extrusion is carrying out as per company procedure and quality

Plan for production in all shifts and achieve the target output for the press

Co-ordinate with maintenance people at the earliest to minimize the breakdown time

Report repeated breakdowns, abnormalities etc. to the concerned department, people

Ensure all operators are writing all the data into the Daily extrusion report

Ensure that all employees are following the quality standard at the press, stretcher, undercut saw at stacking

Arrange tools, consumables for own extrusion section and reduce consumption to the minimum

Make sure that all quality control instruments are working and calibrated. Report case of any damage caused

Declare material as “ non conforming” if it is bound not to meet relevant quality standards raise “ HOLD” for such cases

Ensure house-keeping is carried out during frequent interval

Preparation of production programmes considering the priority, similarity of sections, availability of dyes, quantity, complexity of sections etc. Only press cards shall be used as the basis of production programmed copy and shall work instruction for the operator and supervisor

Using measuring instruments like Caliper, Trisquare and Webster hardness tester to check quality of all production in compliance with specification and standard

To use extrusion press’s to produce appropriately as per requirement in 6061, 6063, 6005, 6081, 6082, and in temper T4, T5, T6

Press Capacity managed:

4500 tons, 2250 tons, 2200 tons, 1800 tons, 1740 tons, 800 tons with double puller and flying saw. All press in S.M.S Germany press (fully automatic)
