Procurement/Logistics Officer

Liaise with all government agencies such as NIMASA, NIWA, NPA, CUSTOMS, NCDMB, and NIPEX etc. in fast tracking all vessel documents, certificates, waivers and permits.
Processing of CAPEX for all fixed assets being procured.
Ensure Proper documentations and relevant certification needed for smooth running of vessels are in check and timely attended to
Ensure registration and renewal of Vessel documentation, licenses and permits
Handle freight, clearance and duty payment of inbound/outbound goods
Timely process interstate and intrastate logistics plans
Negotiate contracts/agreements for purchasing of ships/spares and all requisitions from user unit.
Maintain regular update of vendors/supplier’s evaluation.
Ensure proper cost analysis of goods and services.
Regular identification of items that can be efficiently procured centrally
Identify the best sources for spare parts and accessories, including distributors, representatives, and manufacturers either locally or abroad. Organize vendor selection and deletion in conjunction with ICU.
Oversee the activities of the logistics desk, setup templates and contingency plans for timeliness logistics operations
Coordinate logistics activities related to procurement, funding, substantive units and humanitarian affairs.
Develop and execute logistics support policy, processes and methodologies to general benefit of all mission units.
Develop reports on material, personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
