DISSERTATION

Project Title: Geological & Geotechnical Investigation of Lachmoli to Maletha Station Tunnel (T9).

Mentor: Mr. Vijay Dangwal, (AGM) RVNL, Dr. Ruchika Tandon, Assistant professor,

(Earth Science Department GEHU)

Description: This work includes geological mapping, determination of soil strength of the tunnel T9 through various geotechnical laboratory tests. In this work the face mapping and stereographic projections of the joints is done to determine the stratigraphic conditions of the tunneling surface and their orientation. Equipments used: Geological Hammer, Brunton Compass, GPS, Laboratory test equipments for soil tests.

INTERNSHIP

Project Title: Structural Interpretation over the north-west part of Kachchh rift basin, India using Gravity data.

Mentor: Dr. Avinash Kumar Chouhan, Sr. Geophysicist, Institute of Seismological Research (ISR), Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Description: In this study we made geological map of Gujarat through ArcGIS and then applied different gravity techniques and derivative techniques to study about the subsurface structures of the north-west part of the Kachchh region with the help of satellite derived gravity data.

Technologies: Gravity Anomalies are observed by Oasis Montaj software, Surfer, Grapher 7, ArcGIS.

PROJECT

Title: Climate Change: A Challenge and Opportunity to Renewable Energy Resource

Mentor: Dr. Akshara Pande (Associate Professor, GEHU) Description: This project presents the literature study of evolution of renewable energy, current scenario of energy in India, demand and supply relation, sustainable development of energy, projections and prospects, and what could be the possible solution to make this renewable transition smooth. In this project we also developed a webpage which contains static data of energy in India and its resources.

• Volunteered Cricket tournament in UPES college fest URJA 2K17.

• Presented poster at PRITVI 2016 IIT Kharagpur fest.
