As the barge crane operator responsibilities are daily crane operations, including routinely hoisting personnel and working under bridges and powerlines; and inspecting the cranes daily weekly and monthly. General maintenance, service, and modifications to various lattice boom crawler cranes include changing hoist and boom cables, adding and removing lattice boom sections. Daily duties are operating and maintaining pneumatic, diesel, and vibratory hammers, jet probes, driving piles, raising and lowering barge spuds. Also required are the running various hydraulic tools, chainsaws, air compressors, acetylene torch and most other carpentry and hand and power tools. Other equipment used on a regular basis are trucks, boats, excavator, back hoe, front end loader and tractor.
