Professional Experience
CRISSAIR Valencia, CA 2014-2020
CMM Programmer
Maintained the highest inspection and documentation standards for all CMM activities throughout the manufacturing plant and ensured on-time delivery of all company products post-inspection.
Supervised all documentation procedures for company product and component inspections;
Supported the Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) process for all new parts and products;
Handled all requests from the Engineering, R&D, and Machine Shop departments for First Article Inspections (FAI), new parts and tools, repair requests, assembly, testing, and other operational support;
Certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for inspection of flight hardware machined parts and assemblies;
Created and continually updated computerized recordkeeping protocols to enable all departments to easily access inspection documentation;
Provided technical assistance for troubleshooting of all production issues;
Facilitated training procedures for Quality Department and other personnel on Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) procedures and on new inspection processes, and addressed complex issues that arose:
Developed a new flexible course that successfully trained 30 machinists and inspectors on a complex MicroVu Vision inspection system, without incurring higher per-hour training costs, after MicroVu indicated that they were unprepared to train all Crissair inspectors;
Acted as liaison between Crissair and other contractors for matters of equipment and process leasing, purchasing, and sharing, and when necessary developed solutions to resolve new or recurring issues:
Successfully arbitrated an agreement with Pratt & Whitney to calibrate a recently purchased system that Pratt developed but dropped from their line and did not wish to calibrate. As a result, Crissair avoided the need for an expensive, time-consuming third-party calibration subcontractor.
