ResCare- Social Worker-Clarksburg, WV

As a Social Worker with a Mental Health organization, every day varied to some degree. My main job was to complete initial assessments for perspective clients and dazzle them with my excellent customer service skills. If I left a good impression on them and their guardian then the company grew as a result of my work. However, that was just the beginning of my work.

Once an initial assessment was completed, I drafted a Social History Report for the client. Next, I worked with the State of West Virginia to obtain a placement order for the person in one of our facilities. Once the order was approved, I assisted in the transition into our facility.

I conducted meeting with the client’s team to ensure the concerns/needs were addressed and resolved. This was completed initially, at the 30 day mark, 6 month mark and annually. Should a need for a meeting arise between those times, an emergency meeting was held. Ensuring client needs were met was my top priority.

Myers Well Services- Office Manager- Clarksburg, WV

As any office personnel will tell you, if you are not a multi-tasker then you will not survive. In this role, I completed your daily office duties of filing, faxing, answering the phones, greeting staff, meeting potential new hires and completing inventory. Those were in no way all of my duties.

I was the accounts payable and receivable person. Also, I acted as the HR person. Weekly, I processed payroll for the business location. Interviewing new workers was another duty. After interviews were conducted, I completed the new hire paperwork with the person.

Safety is a major responsibility in all types of businesses. It was my job to ensure that all safety information was published. Should there be a supply need, I took care of placing that order. If there was a safety violation, it was my job to address the violation with the worker. This could be anything from a reprimand all the way to termination.

RESA 7- Medical Secretary-Clarksburg, WV

As a grant program for the State of West Virginia, RESA 7 took care of medical billing for services provided in schools. I acted as a Bookkeeper/Medical Billing Secretary. All billing was completed accurately prior to being submitted for review. On several occasions, I was asked to review others documents as the numbers just were not adding up correctly. I promptly resolved all of those discrepancies for accurate submission. This was one of my most favorite positions and I only left as the company lost funding.
