QA Instruments Monitoring its reliability. Again, Right procedure Right Results. This talks about instruments maintenance, repair, calibration & replacement. QA Inspector

performance

Monitoring of performance on workload assigned, their knowledge, & their repeatability with regards to analysis. Again the objective of this is for improvement. One of my accomplishment at D&L was to make my QA inspectors multi taskers & be efficient. I trained them to be familiar to every QA workloads, to every product, to documentation, to using a computer, etc. so there would be no cause of delay to the production and delivery.

Workloads : Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, etc. e) Reference / Records & Documentation - Its been common that majority of the data / information are with the QA/QC department. Those records & documents I've mentioned earlier is a must the QA/QC department.

f) Statistics and Reports - Aside form having those records, QA must know how to make use of them for Productivity, Improvement, System & Savings purposes. d) Troubleshooting / Corrective Actions - When D&L had a scarcity in raw material and the prices of our suppliers had risen up. I was able help out the company on troubleshooting production batches in order to still produced products with quality. Incoming RM Specs &

Performance

One factor that may affect the product's quality. At D&L we have separate QC procedure for incoming raw material. We used its test results as basis for the product's properties.

QA Supplies

Quality Consistency To prevent rejection, delay in production, delivery and customer complaint. Test Procedure Right procedure Right Results.

Test Results For approval & rejection, consistency, troubleshooting/correction, for productivity & improvement programs I created a system in maintaining our color consistency electronically & a procedure in replacing our standards. Products specs is also one of the factors to produced Quality products. All changes must be documented for the QA not to be mislead during test procedure.

Form time to time it must be audited to avoid rejection and customer complaint. Standards

Customer's Requirement

Monitoring standards is very important bec. it is the basis of what we are trying reproduced. When I was at D&L our standard is known to change in strength as time progresses.

CENTRAL PRODUCTIVITY COORDINATOR

Given the times when there was scarcity in raw materials and prices of our suppliers had risen up, I was able to help out the company by producing a quality products. I studied and research pigment behavior during production, their rheology, their strength, shade and properties. By modifying production process due to availability / different raw material used without violating our standard, the company’s principle and the requirements of the customer in color dispersion and with a minimum amount of time.

Due to my contributions during the scarcity period, I was delegated to be a Central Productivity Coordinator of Color Dispersion Production Division and CPA

(Container Preparation Area). This handles productivity improvements on existing processes or systems, possible savings and good housekeeping of the division assigned. Accomplishment being a CPC

c) Management & Leadership - When I first came to D&L, there were only 2 QC personnel, one had been there for 20yrs & the other for 2 yrs. My strategy was to learn from them, and be hands-on with evaluating & troubleshooting the products. At the same time evaluate their performance and product knowledge. I also did gauge the number of production, the lead time against the QC personnel. I'm studying at the same time evaluating their productivity and looking for sources of QC caused delays in production. After all the data gathering & justification I requested an additional 3 QC personnel to avoid delays in production. Now here comes the challenging part, "training them". Written below are the following training I have conducted to my QC subordinates.

- Procedure & Work flow on Product Evaluation (which involves Formulation, Yield & Process)

- Arrangement of all QA materials with a Guide booklet (this is for the purpose of not to waste time looking for stuffs or documents when needed)

- Presentation of Quality consistency for Management & Customers

- QA System & Procedure - Supplier's Specification & Certification - Delivery records : COI/COA (soft & hard copy)

- Storage-Handling-Disposal of Chemical reagents

- Job description of each QC personnel

- Established Machine productivity system (after investigations, we discovered that certain products gave higher %yield and good properties if produced using the right machine and the right volume, this lessens our troubleshooting)

- Established Product Profile

- Adjustment & Troubleshooting Guide

- Supplier's audit

- Delivery recording system : COI/COA (soft & hard copy), this encoded per customer

- Product's History, Concept & Principles

Certificate of PCO training

- QA Material Consumption - Customer Complaint - Corrective & Preventive Actions

- QA Standards / Control

b) Established the ff. Records & Documentation. When I first came to D&L, all the have is a logbook where they put all their results and an disorganized filing of COA. Almost all were hand written. The data were not helpful due to formulation & production process were not included to it. So, I develop a template in Hard copy & Electronically for the ff. records. As procedure & product reference, I made a handbook / guide for QA personnel for them to use during Evaluation & Troubleshooting.

- Customer's Requirements - Product's History, Concept & Principles - Test Results (soft & hard copy)

- QA System for Material Consumption

- Test Results (soft & hard copy) - which also includes Formulation, % yield & process. ACCOMPLISHEMENT as QC Head @ FIC Inc.
