Production/Cast House- Furnace Operator, Saw and Pit 02/16– 08/13/18
Lead man Responsibilities – Very dangerous work environment. We practice safety at its highest level. Extreme heat and intense winter months. Maintain furnace by coordinating with a list of different purchase metals from warehouse. Using a forklift we gather assortments of aluminum. Collectively weighing anywhere from 43,000 – 57,000 pounds. This metal is then put into a furnace where it is re-melted and poured into the pit as solid aluminum logs.
Our shift having the highest out put of product in 12 hours. Quickest turn around for production at 15 minutes producing 60 plus logs per shift weighing over 1000lbs.
Maintain percentage of alloys in molten aluminum bath such as copper, silicon, iron, magnesium, manganese and chrome.
Assigning individuals to given area that is comfortable and knowledgeable to our and person’s best knowledge.
Process incoming trucks by verifying paperwork.
