EXPERIENCE
Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN — NICU Unit Assistant May 2017 - August 2019
The NICU is a locked unit which requires watching monitors of all entrances while greeting patients, staff, and guests. I signed all patients and guests in and out of the unit and made unit badges that were to be worn at all times. Also, making unit assignments, answering phones, calling Doctors, staff, and other facilities. I admitted patients, ordered labs, made admission packets, prepared charts, printed labels, faxed, and charted patient information. Finally, when patients are being discharged I’m required to delete them from the system, break down charts and send their medical records. I've worked in skilled units such as: Rehab, Medical, Post Surgical, Oncology, Pre-Op, Ortho-Neuro, ICU, and with Hospice. Some of my skills are taking vitals, blood sugars, Skills
