Project Description
#1 Project Name : Study of High Level Bridge.
Role : Team Leader.
Description:
The High Level Bridge (HLB) is proposed to reduce the severe problems of increasing traffic and to increase the transport system between the polisettigudem to papatapalli. The road from polisettygudem to papatapalli is important rural road connecting three mandals i.e. khammam rural, raghunadapalem, dornakal. The project is done with the collaboration of the Government of Telangana State, Roads and buildings department. We are going to do study on the present HLB which is proposed. With rapid increase in vehicle users in our country, we are facing many traffic problems in many areas. Highest flood level is the level of the highest calculated level for the design discharge.
#2 Project Name : Study on Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete.
Role : Team Leader.
Description:
Concrete is one of the world most widely used construction material. The strength of concrete in tension is much lower than in compression. A growing tensile crack in plain concrete can very soon lead to failure. In the presence of reinforcement, the tensile load is transferred to the steel. An alternative to increasing the load carrying capacity of concrete in the tension is the addition of fibers. Well dispersed fibers in concrete act to bridge the cracks that develop in concrete. An attempt has been made to investigate the influence of hooked end steel fibers of length 30mm and diameter 0.6mm and aspect ratio 50 for M30 grade of concrete.
The objective of the study was to determine and compare the differences in properties of concrete containing without fibers and concrete with fibers. This investigation was carried out using several tests, compressive test and flexural test. The mix batches of concrete containing 0%, 5%, 10% by wt. of cement.
