Duties & Responsibility:

Supervise- Assign / oversee work tasks to a mechanical trades crew for installation of process piping, equipment and components; build working relationships with co-workers and crewmembers in order to maintain safety, quality and production; allocate crew / company resources for maximum efficiency.

Proficiently execute skills in installing pipes, valves, chiller, heat exchangers, compressors, control valves, boilers, pumps, steam traps, and many other components

Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of 2-10 journeyman pipefitters and apprentices.

Proficiency in blueprint reading, pipe layout, subcontractors scheduling, material procurement, safety policies implementation, and lockout tag out procedures

Site supervision pertaining to structural and piping erection as per design and specifications.

Daily attend the meeting with concern production supervisor for day today activities and planning for job

Having good knowledge in equipment upgrade and failure analysis.

To reserve the spare parts and required tool from warehouse for maintenance job and shutdown activities

Ensure equipment reliability and availability, considering the aging plant, structures and equipment.

Attend toolbox meetings to establish scope of work activities such as safety requirements permits to works, special tools and materials.

Operate, repair and perform functional testing of tackle and lifting equipment, to the reorganized standards.

Observe with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as work permits policies and procedures.

Spare parts analysis for maintenance work, from manufacturers’ drawings and spare parts lists

Observe the operation of all equipment during routine activities for abnormalities, and report any defect to concern.

PTW (PERMIT TO WORK HOLDER):-

Hot & Cold work permits, Job Safety Analysis & summary sheet, Lifting plan, Confined Space certificate & related docs, Isolations & Blinds list, Audit check list, Tool box talk form.

Job Safety Analysis:- Job start meeting is to be held on site. At this meeting the work method & JSA will be reviewed. Emergency procedure & Rescue plan will be discussed at the job start meeting. Work to be completed under PTW conditions. Contains Activities, Hazards Identification

& its Control measures.

Confined Space Entry:- Survey of the equipment & area, Isolations & Blinds list, Rescue plan, confirm log-out/ tag-out, Atmospheric test, Continuous atmospheric monitoring, Available safety equipment & approved tools, Communication devices. Proper lighting & access, Barricade the manhole after job completion/breaks.
