Plant Trainer / Traininging Coordinator/First Responder Trained - Provided hands on and classroom instruction to new hires in the areas of Environmental, Health, and Safety; and tool usage. The materials focused on OSHA training requirements. Performed routine checks of firefighting equipment, crane safety, and audits for wearing personal protective equipment. Provided daily supervision of the Shift Test Engineer Training Program for approximately 30 trainees and implemtented training goals for the entire Nuclear Test Department. Additional duties included manpower management for the department and activities for hiring new personnel to meet the needs for the growth of the shipyard.

Qualified Reactor Plant Technical Branch Director and provided training for emergency planning personnel in the department to meet company metrics for a robust Radiological Emergency Response Organization.

Training Coordinator – Nuclear Test (D275) Jun 2013 Oct 2014

•Provided daily supervision and direction of Test Engineers in completion of requirements of the Manual for the Control of Testing and Plant Conditions (NAVSEA 098*-***-****) for the STE Initial Qualification Program including: Scheduling of practical factors, assigning Test Engineer’s to D275 Project Offices, maintenance of Automated Time and Attendance (ATA) records, maintenance of the D275 Training Database, assigning PLATEAU training items, coordination of Radiation Worker training and physicals, tracking of qualification progress, indoctrination training, watch standing training, KAPL Mockup training, input for performance reviews, oral boards, and counseling.

•Assisted the Training Supervisor in completion of training department collateral duties and assignments: Manpower Coordination, Emergency Planning and Radiological Emergency Response Organization

•Developed courseware and provided classroom instruction to Test Engineers in Initial Qualification and Shift Test Engineers in Maintenance of Qualification (MOQ) and Subsequent Qualification courses for the S6G, S6W, S8G, and S9G Reactor Plants in the areas of Primary and Secondary Fluid Systems, Chemistry and Radiological Controls, Submarine Systems, and Reactor Plant Operations and Casualties.
