-Negotiate and resolve litigated casualty claims.

-Marketing, develop relationships with potential insureds throughout the industry
-Assist with some underwriting functions including maintaining personal and professional relationships with underwriters, actuaries, and reinsurers.
-Working with and addressing concerns of reinsurance auditors for claims files.
-Provide training and assistance on loss prevention to help insureds implement improved policies that support their businesses and reduce risk and liability exposure.
-Presenting large loss reports to board of directors at their semi-annual meeting.
-RIMS Assist Program, work with IT department to maintain and improve overall function including rewriting/replacing previously used programs.

Job Duties: managing claims/OS&D personnel (5 Team members); answering OS&D calls and filling out PER form; handling refused, hot, and wrecked loads; working with insurance companies, carriers, loading facilities, production plants, sales, customers, etc. to resolve claim issues and fix problem areas; managing the aging report on claims and collecting on claims; managing the DA's that will be and have been charged to Outside Transportation; managing pallet, wash, and fuel accounts to insure they balance; resolving problems rates, re-bills, pallets, etc. Work with MIS to develop new program to increase department efficacy; any special projects that may be assigned
