WELCOME ADDRESS & INDUCTION INSTRUCTIONS
(Please carefully read the information contained in this document and follow the guidelines as shown.) Dear Student,
Congratulations and Welcome to the Daystar Skills Acquisition Program (D-SAP) - a structured system for equipping exceptionally committed individuals with specialized hands-on skills at the basic level of their enterprise development endeavours towards self-reliance, value creation and economic development in our societies.
ABOUT D-SAP (Daystar Skills Acquisition Program):
D-SAP is an initiative of Daystar Christian Center designed to empower individuals in our Society to become enterprise development Role Models by the acquisition of technical business skills through our practical hands-on training. GUIDELINES FOR THE SCHOOL
Kindly go through the following program guidelines for your necessary attention:- ATTENDANCE: This is compulsory and requires you to be present daily for the following:
Opening Devotion (08.00 - 08.35 am)
Business Management Skills (08.35 - 09.00 am)
Class Work (09.00 - 03.00 pm) with 1 hour lunch time Please note that you are expected:
To sign in electronically with the use of your Eventbrite registration ticket, sent to your email as a confirmation that your online registration for this program was successful. Please ensure that you save this ticket as a document on your phone or printed out in hardcopy to be brought along with you to School every day. Electronic sign-in begins at 7.30 and closes at 8.15 am daily (Mondays - Fridays)
To promptly notify and obtain the necessary authorization from your "Progress Monitoring Assistant (PMA)" at least 1-hour before the School opens for the day if there is any reason why you must be late to or absent from School. NB: You are only permitted to be late to School not more than 3-times and absent not more than once throughout the duration of this training program. ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN SESSIONS: Students are encouraged to freely ask questions that will enhance their understanding of the subjects being taught and or make contributions that will help others understand. NB: Students can ask as many relevant questions as will aid their learning processes UNATHORIZED CHANGE OF COURSE: Indiscriminate and unauthorized change from one skill area to another by any Student is not allowed without necessary documentations and approvals from relevant authorities who will only do so subject to the availability of space. BABIES & KIDS: Please note that children are not ordinarily allowed in School. However, nursing mothers of babies of about 6-months old and below who are on exclusive breastfeeding are permitted to bring such babies but subject to haven made prior arrangements for a care-giver who will stay with their babies at a location/ spot to be provided by the School away from the class rooms or halls. This is to avoid the baby becoming a distraction to either the mother or other students or both.
CELL PHONES: Students’ phones should be put on silent mode or vibration during sessions to avoid distracting the other Students and the Instructors. Please note that Student s incessant phone calls why class is in session is not allowed. CLEANLINESS: Kindly endeavour to keep all facilities tidy. Please dispose chewing gums, sweets wrappers and used papers in waste bins. Also ensure that areas used for practical sessions are cleaned up after class. RESTROOMS: All classes within the Children Church and the transit buildings are to use the MAJOR DAYSTAR RESTROOM BUILDING which is directly behind the Main Auditorium, while those within Annex-1 Auditorium are to use the restrooms within the building. Please note that all Students are prohibited from using the restrooms within the Children Church buildings as they were specifically built only for the use of children. Kindly flush the toilets after each use and ensure the floors as well as the seating areas are not wet before you exit the toilet. NB: Please ensure you always exit the restroom after each use in a better condition than you met it, in line with the Daystar culture of excellence. PARKING LOT: All car parking will be within the premises as directed by the Daystar Security Personnel. Please note that all cars are parked at owner's risk. Consequently, all students with cars are therefore advised to ensure that their cars are properly and securely locked. OUR TRAINING METHODOLOGY:
We believe in the "God factor" in both learning & business success and therefore, shall always begin every School day with a session of devotion in praise and worship and brief words of exaltation.

Intensive hands-on practical training sessions
Assignments (individual and/or group final Assessment) and Test(s) TRAINING TOOLS: Despite the fact that Daystar Christian Centre offers this program free of charge, each student is responsible for procuring/ providing his/her own training tools. Since this is a practical training program, please note that no student will be allowed into the classroom without his/her training tools after the first School day.
NON-AVAILABILITY: Please note that this program was highly oversubscribed; therefore, it is very important that you notify us immediately if you will not be available to attend so that your slot can be offered to someone else. Failure to give this notice will be a good ground to deny you the opportunity of future admission into our programs
