EXPERIENCE

June 2018- October 2019 Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Research Academy (ISTRA) Pune, India Internship Trainee

• Performed molecular modeling of Curcumin, Difluorinated-curcumin (CDF), and DiFiD using targets such as IL- 1β, TGF-β, MMP-2, MMP-9 and DCLK.

• Studied the expression of IL-1β, PGE2, and TGF-β on the treatment of DiFiD analogs by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RTqPCR) in human synoviocytes

• Determined the cell viability of analogs for SW-982 cell line

• Performed the nitric oxide assay to study the inflammation-induced due to IL-1β treatment

• Performed gene assays using IL-1β, PGE2, and TGF-β genes that revealed the effectiveness of compounds in the treatment of cancer and osteoarthritis.

• Worked on an Industrial project of Tata Chemicals Ltd. in the Osteoarthritis lab

• Studied various patented molecules for their anti-osteoarthritic potential using cell line study and gene assay and it was found that all the compounds had various degrees of potential (individual or in combination). August 2016- August 2017

Project Intern

• Worked on a full-fledged project titled “Crosstalk of TNF-α and TNAP gene and its modulation by guggul extract in HepG2 cells”.

• Calculated cell viability dose of TNF-α for HepG2 cell line, studied the possible correlation of TNF-α and TNAP in OA, using cell model and assessed the effect of Guggulsterone treatment on the modulation of TNF-α and TNAP and established the evidence for its anti-arthritic potential using qPCR. Association Project: “Formulation, development, and optimization of solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) containing an antihypertensive drug- Ramipril”

• Manufactured Ramipril loaded SLNs were prepared and performed characterization studies like drug entrapment efficiency, particle size, zeta potential, FTIR, X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, H1 NMR spectroscopy, in vitro drug release, and stability studies Review Manuscripts: 1.
