Role & Responsibility:

Communication Manager in HSE

Leading Indicators reporting &Lagging Indicators reporting & Sustainability score.

Tracking of compliances & non-compliances of various critical items for VL like (safety alerts, HSE OR MOM)

Organizing and preparing Monthly HSE Operational review for entire Jharsuguda plant.

Preparation and submission of Weekly Wave reports ( Wave 1- weekly, Wave 2- Monthly, Wave 3- Monthly)

Preparation and submission of monthly HSE MIS for the corporate.

Prepare the schedule for Senior Management Walk-downs and circulate to management team.

Organizing and Coordination for Safety trainings and events. Legal Communication & compliances:

Submission of Safety Officer Performance report ( Monthly,Quarterly), Safety officer approvals and True copy, Factory reports( Quarterly,annually)

Data submission of renewal of Factory License (annually).

1. FTP Operation shift crew

Ensuring fumes emission within norms.

2. IMS Coordinator & Internal Auditor:

Maintaining all documented information as per ISO standard.

Conducting monthly review of departmental objectives.

Auditing on ISO standard as an internal auditor quarterly basis.

Involve in external certification audit of Integrated Management system for smlter-2. 3. Waste manager:

Declared the waste in form-2 &3 & scrap declaration form monthly basis.

Ensured proper waste disposal as per the waste matrix.

Conducting waste campaign to create awareness among people for proper handling of waste in Potline monthly basis.

Conducting monthly contractor performance meeting with HOD & external providers. 5. 5S system

6. Process parameter auditor:

Ensuring process parameter of Potroom operation by regular process audit.

Informed the observations to technical In-charge & ensured its compliance.

Regular measurements of metal bath height in pots.

Involve improvements projects like 1. Voltage reduction in Potline, 2. Tools developments

(skimmer & Raker) to overcome the bath splash etc. through quality circle. 7. Safety Coordinator:

Site audit & permit checking done to ensure best safety practices in shop floor.

Implementing BBS system at potline.

Safety induction training had given to new joiners. 8. Redressing in-charge:

Ensured reduction of carbon consumption through redressing of pots.

Maintaining uniform pot heat & reduction in ALF3 consumption through maintained proper covering height of anodes.

Less fumes emission to environment through standard hooding practices.

Involve in improvements projects like 1. Less carbon consumption in pots 2. Uses spillage stopper to reduce spillage of material etc.
