I would like to give you a brief description of my experience relating to cosmetology! I have been working at Shoppers Drug Mart as a Beauty Specialist/Advisor over 2 years. My passion for Cosmetology began with my over 10 year career as a professional musician, (see work history section), which required me to create and execute many different makeup looks for stage performances. I have also done looks for clients who have always been very happy with the finished results. This passion for makeup has now broadened into a passion for all things beauty related, and I have learned more about this in the past two years of working as a Cosmetician than I could have imagined! This field of work is something that I am extremely passionate about - I believe investing in your own vision of beauty has the power to change how people feel about themselves, and can help them to become more confident and obtain self esteem. On a personal note, I have enjoyed seeing my clients faces light up as they realize that there are products out there that will fit their beauty needs and who they would like to present themselves. I am eager to learn, and I am excited at the prospect of this job opportunity! I would also like to mention that I made it into the Semi-Finals of the Beauty Pro Team, and I made it into the finals of the Benefit Brow Masters Competition - two opportunities that came through working at Shoppers Drug mart that I was very thankful to be able to be a part of! Camp Kannawin – Sylvan Lake, Alberta

Implemented fun recreational activities, including swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, sports and outdoor activities including campfires and sing-alongs for groups of 20+ children between the ages of 6 - 16. Established emergency procedures for the camp in the event of a serious or critical injury or incident. Responsible for the care and supervision of children/youths in a community living environment. Rotated grocery products ensuring that expired or spoiled items were immediately removed and adhered to the

“first in, first out” rule.

Built displays and hung signage for products.

Maintained compliance with all health code standards. Marked down and retagged products for special promotions. Completed cycle counts and monthly inventory.

Assisted customers with price checking and finding requested items in the store. Checked product shelves to make sure that they contained proper price labels and handled price changes when requested by the manager.

Assisted manager and worked effectively with front-end team. Cleaned shelves and restocked them with food and other merchandise when the product was running low. A few things about myself that are beneficial to know are:
