September 2018 - December 2018 University of West London, Course Representative of the Entrepreneurship group
Duties involved:
Representing students from the Entrepreneurship group of Business Studies, of which I was responsible for raising concerns and queries from students to the module leader regarding assessments as well as negotiating assignment deadlines;
Responsibilities were similar to those during my appointment as the Course Representative throughout the academic year 2016 - 2017 in terms of addressing matters and feedback from my fellow students to module leaders, head of year and the Dean and Deputy Dean of The Claude Littner Business School.
May 2017 - November 2017 University of West London, Student Ambassador Duties involved:
Acting as the first point of contact during open days, providing a professional and friendly customer service experience for prospective students, parents and guardians, giving guided tours of the university (Ealing and Paragon campuses) and answering questions regarding the university, facilities, student experience and the curriculum related to my subject area;
Supporting university events including open days, graduation, enrolment, hospitality events, professorial and public lectures, award ceremonies and recruitment events;
Running workshops related to my course, supporting students throughout;
Assisting with the university's Clearing hotline, answering prospective students' course- related queries and providing advice.
September 2016 - May 2017 University of West London, Course Representative
Duties involved:
Listening to and escalating the concerns of my fellow students to the Dean and Deputy Dean of The Claude Littner Business School, the Module Leaders and tutors at Course Representative meetings, held once or twice every semester
Forwarding fellow students' suggestions and opinions regarding assessments, module timetables and lectures to Module Leaders;
Contributing to improvements to module timetables, lectures and assessments
Following up on the progress of responses to issues
Keeping fellow students informed of the progress of all concerns and outcomes, in person and via email.
Activities
October 2018 NACUE Varsity Pitch 2018 Competition
This nation-wide competition involved producing a short video pitch, in which I promoted my Green Stores concept, which was posted onto NACUE's website and required a certain number of votes from friends, family, classmates and the public to qualify to the final. May 2018 UniVenture 18 London Student Entrepreneur Competition, hosted by London Higher
I participated in this competition to convey my eco-friendly retail concept, Green Stores, to a panel of judges for the chance to win a £5,000 start-up investment from Barclays. In addition, it was an enjoyable experience which gave me the chance to network with professional bodies and entrepreneurs.
September 2011 - August 2013 Boys' Brigade, 4th Ealing Group; Senior Member Assistant Volunteer
Duties involved:
Assisting the Boys' Brigade Captain and other colleagues with preparing for events and the Boys' Brigade clubs for the Juniors and Company members, which took place on Friday evenings
Acting as an ambassador for the Boys' Brigade at events such as the Jack Petchey Awards Ceremony
Acting as a responsible role model for the younger members
Organising games for the Junior and Company members
Organising holiday camps to Chideock during the summer holidays which involved preparing tents and facilities for campers as well as helping staff in the kitchen during meal times. Education
