As Chairman of the Board appointed by the Governor, I oversee the direction and supervision of Board members and staff. Our duties are to review and make decisions to retain or release candidates (offenders) who are eligible for parole and ascertain if the individual is rehabilitated and can return to society as a law-abiding citizen. I coordinate efforts with the Department of Corrections, Parole Services to execute Legislative Code and Parole Board Procedural Rules to make independent, quality, conditional releases of adult offenders and Clemency recommendations to the Governor.
