• Resuscitating during cardiac and respiratory arrest and also in delivery room.

• Maintaining strict aseptic technique (Hand washing, wearing gown and mask, use of separate things for each baby)

• Prevention of Nosocomial infection by maintaining universal standard precautions

• Handing over and taking over

• Daily inventory checking

• Administration of life saving drugs such as epinephrine, sodium bicarbonate etc.

• Daily checking the functions of equipments

• Care of a baby under phototherapy
