Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California Research Assistant August 2019 – Present

Developing a Food Recommender software that provides personalized food-recommendations with sufficient nutrients.

Built a Restful API for food-recommendations in Python using Django-rest framework by applying Deep neural networks using TensorFlow, spaCy, CoreNLP, word-net, Word2Vec (for word embeddings).

Used the USDA food database by MySQL to access nutrients as feature-vectors for foods.

Developed a website using ReactJS, HTML, and CCS Grid that can use the food-recommender API to fetch a list of food items that are exclusively recommended for the user.

Used Docker Host to host both the front-end and back-end of the software separately. Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar, India Software Developer Intern January 2019 – May 2019

Built a controller software in Python using PyQt, SciPy, and NumPy Libraries for Coherent GEM 30 Industrial CO2 LASER placed inside “ADITYA” Tokamak reactor.

Programmed Arduino MEGA in C, which is operated by the controller software to generate inputs for CO2 LASER as per the user’s requirements.

Academic Projects

Amazon Kindle Prototype ( Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Tomcat, MySQL)

Built a Java web application for a Virtual library that provides access for E-Books to students by using the Spring framework with Hibernate as ORM (Object to Relational Mapping) between Java and MySQL database.

Employed Spring Boot to build a prototype of Kindle with features such as Antiplagiarism, PDF-viewer, and Document cloud.

Prepared GraphQL API Server that uses backend built upon Spring MVC to expose APIs that let users register, login, search, read and save documents.

ECG Diagnostic System ( Python, SciPy, NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit-Learn, Keras, PyQt, QThread )

Developed a Python software that diagnoses Cardiac Arrhythmias by analyzing electrocardiograms of the Patient.

Studied the basics of Electrocardiography, Cardiac Anatomy, and Cardiac Arrhythmias (Diseases). Collaborated with a Cardiologist and medical experts at U.N. Mehta Institute of cardiology to obtain Diagnostic Data and guidance in Electrocardiography.

Used OpenCV for digitalizing ECG signals from an image of the ECG report. Implemented signal processing methods available at SciPy and Scikit-Learn libraries for statistical analysis of electrocardiograms. E - Banking ( Java, JDBC, SpringREST, Hibernate, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AWS, MySQL )

Developed a web application for Online Banking in Java using Spring, Vanilla JS, and AWS.

Provided a real-time environment for essential services like Money transactions, Withdrawal, Deposit, account holder access, and administrative access by building a REST-API server using Spring REST. Stereo Computer Vision ( Python, OpenCV, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-Learn – Clustering, Webcams, PyQt, QThread )

Designed and Engineered a Stereo Vision system to capture objects in 3 dimensions from a stereo-image sourced by two webcams as Stereo-Cameras.

Made a Desktop application in Python that determines stereo-depth of objects by implementing the principle of Binocular Disparity in the image geometry of the stereo-images.

Used the developed Stereo Vision System in the task of Face–Recognition to enhance the accuracy in results by estimating stereo-depth of Principle Components of Face (e.g: depth between nose and eyes, depth between eyes and ears) Publication

IEEE – ICECCT (International Conference on Electrical, Computer and Communication Technologies) October 2019 Title: “Development of a methodology for precise diagnosis of ECG by Artificial Intelligent” DOI: 10.1109/ICECCT.2019.8869413
