First half of the internship, I was doing data entry, vouching, reading the process for each engagement during my own time, and to receive certain documents I had to send letters to the auditors

(Deloitte), to the client, and to a third party (Bank, supplier, and etc.), and Checking the financial statements drafts for any mistakes.

Second half of the internship, I was doing what I did on the first half, testing receivables and salaries, I started to do the income statements and balance sheets, and most importantly the notes

(they are at the end of the financial statements). Of course, everything was under the provision of my manager, etc.

o As a group we had to construct a business plan and financial strategy to a real startup company called RACEIX, and present it using Powerpoint to company

representatives, and the program’s head of department. o Research which region to enter the market, built a marketing strategy, recommended ways for the company to have more than one source of income and created a pricing strategy. We also recommended them a market growth strategy where we advised market penetration and market development by broadening the view of usage of the product.

Business Simulation

o Owning a virtual company with group members,

competing with other groups. The aim of the challenges to take decisions in manufacturing, sales and marketing, finance, and human resource departments based on the market research.

o By the end of the semester, we pitched to investors to invest in our company and we managed to secure the targeted amount of 3.5 million dollars.

Seminar Course

o Owners and representatives from companies and banks came to WIT to speak to us about their experiences and hardships to have successful business. By interacting with the speakers, I attained knowledge about the

organizational structure and how an employee should conduct himself.

o Part of the course was a group project we had to analyze 4 companies from certain industry. Analyze by using the financial ratios and then compare ratios from different companies to conclude the most successful firm.

I participated in the Global Management Challenge (sponsored by Al-Futtaim Automotive) where we got through the first 2 rounds.

(2015/2016):

o We were a group owning a virtual company and had to compete with other groups. In each round task were given and based on the decisions we made; groups were eliminated in each round.

o I learned how to take decisions on whether to cut cost and increase or decrease production depending on the financial situation of the firm.

Career Objectives

To be part of a dynamic progressive organization, which offers challenging working environment, where I can utilize my energy and competency in a positive direction to bring unmatched success to the organization.

One of my goals is to obtain a certification in risk management, or to be certified CFA level 1.
