Interned with King Law Offices, working closely with clients, in regards to collecting and inputting case information, answering phones, made detailed appointments, maintained the office and computer program, updated the attorneys’ daily schedules, as well as assisted with paralegals’ and attorneys’ cases.

Interned with the Guardian ad Litem program in Cleveland County, with supervisor, Dawn Stover and Kevin Woodall. Aided the office with cases, participated in training to become an officer for the Guardian ad Litem program, assisted in visitations between children and parents, in regards to their cases, as well as maintained their files. Sworn in as an officer for the Guardian ad Litem program.

Guardian ad Litem for Cleveland County, North Carolina. I worked with the Department of Social Services, visiting children and families on a volunteer basis, advocating for the children’s’ and families’ needs in court. I wrote detailed court reports, observed visitations, attended In Service meetings on various topics (drug use, parenting classes, addiction and addiction prevention, mental health, counseling, etc.) and suggested classes, treatments and counseling for the children, care providers and parents for each case.
