Roles & responsibilities:

Project management –End to end responsible for productivity improvement projects.

Coordinates the launch of new product designs and enhancements to existing product designs to ensure smooth transition to full production.

Multi-Manning (Manpower Optimization) - Utilizated Die Casting Machine operator for sand preparation process by providing compact “Core baking oven” facility in Four cavity machines and reduced manpower in core shop.

Cycle time reduction - Designed and modified 2 Twin-cavity LPDC machines to Four-cavity, and increased production capacity by 600 Nos/day.

SMED - Reduced setup changeover time from 4 hours to 3 hours in Low pressure die casting machines by shifting internal activities to external and with other Kaizen improvements.

OEE – Improved LPDC machine OEE from 60% to 70% by reducing loses

Autonomation - Breakthrough improvement in productivity by introducing CNC fettling in post casting process which increased fettling output by 30% and reduced rejection by 5%.

Increased Die casting machines output by reducing sand core waiting hours from 150 hrs to 30 hrs through process flow improvement in core shop.

On-time submission of PPAP documents (PFMEA, Control plan, PFD, PFC, BOM, Packing standards, List of special characteristics for both process and product etc.,) to customer for 20 BS VI parts.
