Because a client has their own branding I understand it is not a good idea to put the client name or branding on social media when advertising a position

Interview candidates telephonically – to get an understanding as to does the candidate understand what is required according to our spec

Assess if he or she could be a potential candidate

Shortlist your best 3 especially if we working in a team

Should your candidate be shortlisted by the client, make sure you there for him or her throughout the process and encourage and prepare them properly

Communicate with management in cases where a candidate is not affordable but you feel he or she is what is required by the client

Training officer

Two of my candidates just got an interview

It is an amazing journey thus far and very rewarding too. I am looking forward to more challenges and learning everything I can. It is teaching me so much especially about the different industries for example :

When you receive a spec you study the spec, research about the company, how big is it, Is it a global company (as some candidates sometimes ask) Its culture, do they want EE maybe?,

Research the potential candidates, do they have what is needed by the client, do past and current role(s) align with what the client is looking for?

Is their salary package in bracket with what is being offered? Sometimes your instincts also kick in and you need to negotiate for the candidate if he or she is a bit expensive

(I did that for my candidate for Head of Finance but also in doing that you have to bare you have to support your statements.)

They wanted a matured and intelligent person: I gave them a 41year old smart woman from KPMG, Alexander Forbes and Westbank

When it comes to Business development, I will honestly say I am still a bit sceptical, because I am new in the industry and yes, I want to learn but I also want to pace myself, with that said I am not a complacent person so I will have to come out of my comfort zone.
