ABOUT ME

As a self-taught engineer, I've developed excellent analysis and organizational ability during the learning process.

After doing an internship as a Data scientist intern at Chatterbug, a company from GitHub founders, I decided to make a career change to web development. I realized the best way to learn was building a useful tool from scratch. So I decided to develop a bookmark manager that would organize the links by tags and have configurable presets to open several tabs in one click to save me time and energy to start my journey. I used Ruby on Rails for the backend and REST API, PostgreSQL for the database, and Next.js for the frontend to develop this project.

In this learning process, I get used to extract knowledge from different sources as online courses such

"The Odin Project", books like "Eloquent Javascript" or "The Ruby Way", and how to find answers in Stackoverflow or directly in GitHub.

Doing quality work is very important to me, so I looked for a mentor to support me in this learning process. He is Pedro Piñera Buendía (Pedro’s Linkedin), Engineering Manager in the React Native Foundations team at Shopify. He has been and still is the one I ask my doubts to and who guides me so that my code maintains a professional quality.
