Provided technical consulting services to Accenture’s engineering, manufacturing/production, and lifecycle management customers. Applications expertise included Computer Aided Design (CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Digital Manufacturing-Production Planning and Simulation software solutions. Subject Matter Advisor on the Dassault Systemes CATIA
(V4, V5, and V6), SolidWorks, ENOVIA (V6), and DELMIA (V6) applications. Responsibilities included providing remote and/or onsite customer consulting and support services, including: evaluation of client’s existing business/engineering methods and procedures to facilitate providing specific recommendations for efficiency and quality improvements, implementation of same recommended business/engineering methodology and engineering tool improvements, creating customer specific technical training and implementation materials, conducting technical workshops with the client’s key stakeholders and internal technical experts, delivering weekly progress and planning updates to the client’s project leads. Additional duties included: responding to customer requests for services proposals, participating in Accenture internal weekly sales pipeline planning and strategy meetings, and identifying possible additional revenue opportunities for the Accenture Industry Solutions and Services team. Responsible for determining and demonstrating how CATIA V5 and V6 design tools and advanced applications were best used in the customer’s engineering environment. Advanced expertise included CATIA V5 and V6 Electrical Wire Harness, Tubing, Piping, and HVAC design applications. Extensive customer interface, including demonstration of the CATIA mechanical and advanced applications, delivering software update briefings, participation in customer’s proof of concept evaluations and extended technical pilots, creation of added value reports and presentations, developing and delivering CATIA design methodology solutions for customer’s unique needs and design difficulties, documentation of application gaps and deficiencies, and delivering solutions to these gaps via negotiations with the DS R&D teams located around the globe. Provided technical leadership, expertise, and support to the DS sales teams in their effort to increase sales opportunities and complete sales engagements. Significant travel, team leadership, excellent communication and people skills, preparation of detailed reports to DS management, regular communications with DS R&D departments, excellent time management and organization skills, and being the “face of Dassault Systemes” to the customer were all key parts of my success in this position.

This was accomplished by utilizing the CATIA V5 and SmarTeam / ENOVIA LCA tool suites to efficiently create conceptual layouts, detailed parts, kinematic models, and complete installations for a variety of service, entry/exit, and landing gear doors. Included the coordination of the designs with other engineering design and support groups, creating and presenting technical briefings to both peers and management, tracking the progress of the designs to ensure that targeted goals are achieved, and developing detailed source control specifications to allow the procurement of parts and installations from outside vendors.

The X-47B UCAS aircraft is an advanced military prototype, featuring the latest stealth and unmanned technologies. Responsibilities included mechanical subsystems design using CATIA V5, including the development of parametric solid models for conceptual and detail kinematics layouts in support of in-flight opening doors, wing-fold mechanisms, and detail build-to packages. Support of subsystems integration, test, and procurement activities. Integration of subsystem hardware into the airframe and vehicle systems designs. Extensive liaison interface with the in-house manufacturing and installation departments to ensure the installed and delivered integrity of all designs. Also responsible for checking the integrity and producibility of all designs created by the interiors design team. CATIA 3D design tools were used extensively to create these deliverables.
