•Volunteered 03/2007 - 06/2007 for the Rainbow Network in receiving Nicaragua visitors to Springfield, Missouri. Served as an interpreter and translator between english speaking and Spanish speaking staff.
•Leader of four groups of volunteers to New Orleans for Katrina relief work. Each trip served a different purpose such as cleaning homes, gutting homes and building a center for the volunteers. The center entailed building bunk beds, flooring, metal framing and roofing of building. Prepared and cooked 2 meals per day for 10-15 volunteers.
•Volunteered at Bill’s Place, a shelter in Springfield, MO where I provided and cooked a meal for up to 80 homeless people once a month. Helped coordinate a group of volunteers collect and provide toiletries, socks, hats, blankets, shoes and camping gear to pass out to those with no shelter.
