Dear quip Hiring Team,

First time I saw quip's products is in a specialty electronics experience store in Houston, and I ended up buying only quip's toothbrush among the many creative and interesting electrical products there. When I saw quip, my real feeling was that this is a product that represents good design in my mind, your product makes brushing teeth easy and has an unique design language. When I saw your open industrial design internship, I was convinced I had to apply it. For me, I think the most important thing about industrial design is to satisfy the unique proposition and personality of a group of people through the product. I wanted to help quip design the unique and fantastic oral products that would also meet the proposition and personality of quip’s users. I would like to submit my application for your industrial design intern opening. I think I have good creative ability and I can finally present the ideas in a unique storytelling. One of my product design projects “ezii” is a good example, I focused on the unique proposition of a modern music beginners. They are motivated to learn music because they want to be as cool and have their own individual musical expression as the musicians they admire. Music beginners want to do something they think is cool and music related, instead of just doing some boring practice and learning. So, I designed ezii and I made it possible for beginners to adapt music, create music and play music with friends just by doing some familiar movements and simple steps through the product. I did dozens of sketches to design an appearance that made them feel cool, fresh and friendly, and used SolidWorks and Rhino together to make it. Finally, Cinema 4D and Octane were used to create renderings and demo videos to attract them. After interviewing some beginners, the feedback I received was that ezii could convince them that learning music is not a luxury. I am proficient in using design tools and I also have a strong ability to bring concepts to fruition which is key in this role. Also, now I have a FDM 3D printer of my own and I have a lot of experience with 3D printing, I now regularly print my prototype and mock-ups. The industrial design internship at quip will give me the greatest opportunity to demonstrate my design skills and I believe I will learn a lot to become a better industrial designer. I will do my best and I look forward to discussing with you about this opportunity. Thank you for your time and consideration.
