Installation of the Alnova Banking System

Description: To install the Alnova Banking System and help with the migration from the previous system to this new Alnova System and to take care of the maintenance and evolution of it. The module that I was assigned is ARP/PP (Account Reconciliation & Positive Payments) from May 2014 to June 2017.

Responsibilities: To develop the modifications of programs to customize them to fulfill the necessities of the Bank. In order to do so, I need to interact with the users and not only modify the programs but to analyze and define the modifications and develop them. Sometimes I need to work with the users and along with them define the new procedures and subsystems to enhance the performance of the System and to fulfill the new necessities such as new reports and CICS transactions most of them are for other services that the Bank wants to add to the new system. Other responsibilities were to define and develop the data migration and conversion from previous systems into the new Alnova Banking System, this migration can reside in QSAM or VSAM files or DB2 tables. Along with the previous activities I was responsible of work with the software factory in Mexico, I have to organize the job distribution, quality and testing. Once the software factory sent back their modified items, I reviewed the code, the evidence of the testing performed and if everything were according the standards I gathered all the approvals to promoted from the previous environments all the way to the Production environment.

Installation of the Alnova Banking System

The modules that I was assigned are Corporate Tables & Architecture where I worked from May 2012 to August 2013. From August 2013 to April 2014 I was assigned to the Loans module where I developed reports for the Dealers subsystem.

●I got in charge of the 3 modules for 3 different Banks Bancrecer, BanOro and Bancrecen (a Bank from Costa Rica). Later on I help in the migration and consolidation from BanOro to Bancrecer, the migration was successful and it was accomplished within the scheduled dates.

●Then I was assigned to help with the installation of the system for Banco Provincial in Venezuela, I was assigned to help with the same modules (Clients, Corporate Tables & Architecture) and finally I was assigned in BBVA Mexico just before the fusion with Bancomer, I was assigned to help the Accounting & Report creation efforts.

Responsibilities:

●On the first stages as a Programmer Jr. my role was to develop the modifications of programs to customize them to fulfill the necessities of the Bank.

●Later on as a Programmer Sr. my role change and I’d started to interact with the users and not only modify the programs but to analyze and define the modifications and develop them.

●On the final stage of my staying in AC my role was as an Analyst and my functions and responsibilities were co-working with the users and along with them define the new procedures and subsystems to enhance the performance of the System and to fulfill the new necessities such as new reports and CICS transactions.
