Co-ordinating QA/QC, Testing and Commissioning to ensure the quality of work in accordance with PG&E requirements and technical specifications of different projects like replacement of poles, framing, anchor, etc.

Maintaining product quality by following PG&E standards and procedures. Mechanical Design Engineer Mar 2019 –Aug 2019

Merit-One Engineering, Detroit, MI

Providing critical support throughout the design process of Class-A interior plastic automotive components like arm rest, BIW components and other mechanical design parts, utilizing Catia V5.

Expertly creating 2D drawings, 3D models, assemblies [Radial engine, stop valve, fuel pump, etc.] and surfacing of complex systems using Catia V5. Conducted draft analysis to define draw directions and parting lines for drafted parts.

Developed parametric 3D models utilizing given nonparametric solids.

Designing of different automotive and surfacing components with the Bill of Materials (BOM) and GD&T. Manufacturing & Quality Engineer Oct 2014 – Apr 2016 Heavy Industry Limited, India

Leveraged expertise in manufacturing and quality analysis across automobile, hydraulic, pneumatic, and defense parts.

Design of various parts like tie rod, hydraulic adaptors, low pressure casting elbows, banjo couplings, ball valve, etc. in Catia V5 with the application of GD&T.

Integrated challenging problem solutions in quality measures and provided production part approval process (PPAP), DFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams and PFMEA documentations.

Improved manufacturing efficiency using Kanban and 5S methodology and performed final inspection and testing to ensure exact fit according to customer requirements.

Academic Projects

Design of Helios Train & Energy Storage System Aug 2020 – Sep 2020 WSP Inc., USA

Participated in the design of a Helios Wagon, through the creation of parts which included: the wagon, solar panels, energy storage battery and its framing according to standard dimensions.

Verified the cooling load calculations for energy storage system and found out that 4 ton of air-cooling system shall be required for the design.

Design and Engineering Analysis on Solar Tracking System Jun 2020 – Jul 2020 WSP Inc., USA

Designed a single axis tracking solution for solar system that can carry a pollinator box. The design typically included the framing, lower body shaft, the solar panels, and the pollinator box.

Performed Engineering analysis to be included: static, dynamic, and buckling on the framing to select the best material for framing, which was found to be Plain carbon Steel considering its Stress and FOS value.

Demonstrated the motion analysis of the tracking system to show how the solar panel shall oscillate around the axis of the frame.

Design and Engineering Analysis of Prosthetic Limb Mar 2018 - May 2018 California State University, Fresno, CA

Integral partner in the design and analysis of prosthetic limb technology, through the creation of parts that included socket, pipe, and foot utilizing Solid-Works.

Provided static, dynamic, buckling, and fatigue analysis using Solid-works Simulation on a prosthetic leg, implementing three unique materials for: socket (Plastic materials), mid-portion (Steel Alloys), and foot (Aluminum Alloys).

The results were optimized considering all modes of engineering analysis the best set of materials was selected keeping stress and factor of safety in mind.

Design and Thermal Analysis of PVT Solar Panel Jan 2018 – Feb 2018 California State University, Fresno, CA

The main purpose of this project was to create an optimized design for the cooling system used to decrease the temperature of the solar panel using Solid-Works simulation.

The PVT design consisted of the glass cover, solar cell array, frame, cooling manifold, and insulation cover. Three different design were constructed for the cooling system considering different geometry for the cooling manifold.

Finally, a temperature of 40 C was set and water [cooling fluid] was made to flow at 1 kg/s from the pipe; the thermal analysis was performed to define the best design for the cooling system of PVT solar panel. Design and Development of Universal Coupling Testing Machine Jan 2014 - May 2014 M.E.S. College of Engineering, PUNE

Design and built the test machine to measure variation in angular velocity with the change in shaft angle connected by Universal Coupling.

3-D model of test setup was prepared in CATIA V5 and FEA analysis was performed in Ansys to finalize it and the equipment was manufactured as per the design to perform the experiment.

Optical Sensor was used to measure the change in angular velocity by the changing the shaft angles which resulted in the conclusion: change in velocity increases with the change in shaft angles. Additional Achievements

Certifications: EIT [Engineer in Training, FE Mechanical], CSWP Mechanical Design, CSWP Advanced Sheet Metal, CSWP Advanced Drawing Tools, CSWP Simulation/FEA, LEED Green Associate, Catia V5, Ansys 14.0, and Six Sigma Green Belt.
