Technical Responsibility

Registers patients for section’s procedures and systematically schedules them to avoid overlapping or delay in the procedure without sacrificing image quality through proper coordination with patient, nursing units and other referring hospital

Ensure that films taken are in accordance to acceptable image quality standards set within the section before endorsing for reading

Follows a given standard of procedures in monitoring film spoilage and participates in activities set in order to further reduce the percentage of reject to improve performance

Orients and trains new trainees in performing procedure and in workflow of the section through proper rotation in different areas and in different shifts

Makes endorsement to the in-coming shift for proper information and continues delivery of service

Prepares weekly and monthly census of the procedures done in the section for quarterly reports

Actively participates in other quality assurance activities within the section

Administrative Responsibility

Monitors and prepares requests for the section’s medical and equipment supplies to ensure smooth flow of procedures

Ensure safe, clean and orderliness of the section for patients and employee’s comfort by checking all areas before the procedure

Reports any technical and administrative problems that arise in the section by calling immediately the attention of the immediate superior

Perform other tasks assigned relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the position

Scope of Responsibilities and Experience

Receiving and coding of all section’s procedures’ requests

Evaluation on the quality of production of films

Assurance that all satisfactory images taken and other pertinent information were properly recorded before patients leave

Implementation of approved policies and procedures as well as all assigned tasks by the Section Manager, Institute Director or Vice President of Ancillary Services

Performs various x-ray procedures of all anatomical structures.

Performs Dental examination such as Panoramic and Cephalometric views

Performs x-ray special procedures such as Barium Enema, Upper Gastro Intestinal Series (UGIS), Small Intestinal Series (SIS), Esophagogram, Arthrogram, Hysterosalpingogram (HSG), Intravenous Pyelogram (IVP), Voding Cystourethrogram (VCUG).

Performed OR/C-ARM procedures for Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), Retrograde Pyelogram (RGP), Intraoperative Cholangiogram (IOC), Open Reduction and Internal Fixation (ORIF), Intramedullary Nailing, Balloon Kyphoplasty, Spinal Fusion, Hip Replacement, Anterior Cervical Decompression Fusion, and Knee Replacement
